During my childhood, I always watched how my father taught his students at our home. That is one of my favorite childhood memories and one of my major inspirations to become a music teacher.
I started playing piano when I was five years old. I graduated from the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, where I learned composition, MIDI, music theory, harmonics, China and Western music history, and more.
I learned from my father how to teach piano when I was studying at the university, I taught piano in his private school every weekend. The students were primarily 4-11 years old. After graduating from university, I was a piano teacher in kindergarten for two years. Needless to say, I have a lot of experience working with kids. Teaching children inspires me. I’m always learning more teaching methods and making personal improvements.
Tara’s method is totally amazing. It will develop kid’s creativity, imagination, and connect with their sense of aesthetics, ability to interpret the music. I look forward to using it. Sometimes I use music software to share different kinds of rhythm and music with students to make classes more fun. Additionally, I am a native Chinese Mandarin speaker.
